Silicone-filled prelube rubber rings are advanced elastomeric seals designed with an encapsulated internal reservoir containing silicone lubricant. Unlike traditional rubber rings—which require manual field application of jointing gel—prelube rings feature a double-walled elastomeric sleeve that allows the internal silicone to circulate dynamically as the pipe joint is pushed together. This design creates a friction-free internal slide mechanism, eliminating the need for external grease while preventing gasket displacement or twisting.
